Placing Orders
When placing your order, please note that we must have the following product information before we can proceed with manufacture:
- Model Number of Table (indicated by Base Style in the price list)
- Quantity of each separate line item
- Edge selection – type and color
- Top surface selection (Plastic Laminate, Wood Veneer, Vinyl or Soild Wood)
- Color of top selection
- Metal base finish
- Any accessories to be included
- Any custom considerations
- Shipping address and date of required shipment
- Prepaid or Freight collect

Table Numbering System
The lettered prefix of each table product number designates the base style. The numbered suffix designates the table size. For example, table model number SP36S-VINTEE designates a Spartan series table (cast iron base) with a 36” x 36” square top, a 30” x 30” base, with a vinyl “T” molding.
Returns
No product shall be returned to the factory without prior authorization from the factory. Products shipped to the factory without written return authorization will be refused.

Grand Rapids Chair Company manufactures tables that meet or exceed minimum industry-accepted strength standards. Tables are for commercial indoor use. For exterior products, contact the factory.
Tolerances
Dimensions listed for table tops and bases are nominal. Table heights are nominal 30” high unless specified otherwise. Height may vary slightly according to base configuration and added accessories. Bar tables are nominal 42” high. Tops are manufactured to nominal dimensions. If tolerances are critical to the job application, the customer’s purchase order must note acceptable tolerances.
Wood Products
All wood products are available in Grand Rapids Chair Company standard finishes. We will make every effort to match any special finish. Due to the natural product being used, color may vary slightly from one top to another. Every effort is made in the factory to consistently match each piece of wood; however, slight variations are to be expected due to the natural materials being used. Wood products are Hard Maple, Northern Red Oak and Michigan Ash, unless otherwise noted for veneered surfaces and wood edges. Other species are easily available by calling the factory. Natural wood products are naturally susceptible to damage from radical changes in heat and humidity; care must be taken to ensure that they are in a temperate environment. Wood edges are indicated in the price list; samples of wood edges are available. Custom wood edges are also available. Where radius corners are specified, our standard is 3” radius unless otherwise specified. Contact the factory for other options. A wide variety of different table shapes and sizes can be made using our precision computer-controlled machinery. Please call for a custom quote.
Plastic Laminate Products
Our plastic laminate pricing is based on the Wilson Art “Standards” Pricing Collection. Other laminates are available at a possible upcharge; contact the factory. Standard face is .050” (countertop commercial grade) with a balancing phenolic resin backer for balanced construction.
Samples of Wilson Art finishes are available by viewing the “Standards” color selector online. Our website, www.grandrapidschair.com, has a link to the Wilson Art website. If you would like to see an actual sample of the specified laminate, we have made special arrangements with Wilson Art to send the sample material directly to you. You can order sample plastic laminate materials online at www.grandrapidschair.com. Our tables can be ordered/specified with certain high-performance grades for chemical-resistant surfaces, fire-rated surfaces, exceptional high-wear surfaces, and a multitude of custom-designed laminates. Contact the sales office for specifics.
The inner core of all our plastic laminated and veneered tables are BIFMA-strength-approved, industrial-grade particleboard. All tops are predrilled for easy installation onto their accompanying bases. Tops are shipped separate from bases. Bases are shipped fully assembled or shipped K.D. with “Labor Saver” construction: see price list for specific series information. All bases are easy to assemble using a Phillips screwdriver and a wrench. There is no loose hardware to contend with. A variety of edges are available for plastic laminated tops, including vinyl “T”-molded edges, aluminum edges, molded polyurethane edges, wood edges and upholstered edges. Laser Engraving
Please e-mail your electronic dxf, .cdr or .eps file along with a vectorized image to sales@grandrapidschair.com. There is a graphic set-up fee of $50 net per image. Please consult the factory for graphics layout pricing if you are not able to send a file in one of the formats listed.
